Baptisms for the dead, picking oranges and my new assignment...

Santa Maria
More of Santa Maria

We had a good week. We did get to teach a little and do some good service for a sister who lost her husband about a year ago. She is about 40 and has 3 kids all under 15 years old. So that was good to go and do some yard work for her.

One super fun thing we got to do this last week was go down to the temple with Barb and Dan to do baptisms for the dead. Dan is one of our recent converts and they are awesome. Me and Elder Thueson got to baptize each other for the dead and it was such an awesome trip.

We actually found out tonight that Elder Thueson will be staying here in Santa Maria as a zone leader and I will be going down to a new area in Simi Valley. Its bitter sweet cause me and him got along way good and I'm sad we couldn't stay together another one but that's the mission I guess. He's my third companion to be a zone leader after me. I guess I'm just good at getting them ready for leadership. Ha ha. So I will be down in the Sequoia Ward in Simi Valley and will be the senior companion to Elder King who I haven't met yet. I'm excited.

Oranges we picked

I burned a tie to commemorate my 6 month mark as a missionary.
