Staying in Moorpark with Elder Griffin....

Dinner prep with Elder Tesch

“My week was good. We had a few lessons this past week. Nothing special just trying to help people take those steps to come closer to Christ. Slowly keeping everyone progressing. For service this week we helped a lady pull weeds in her back yard for like an hour then went straight from that to help unload a U-Haul trailer for someone all in our white shirts and ties. At the end we were all sweaty and gross and had to go change. Worth it though. And funny stuff happens to us all the time.”
“It’s hard to just think of a story Haha a lot of times different things spark a memory and that's when the stories come. But one that came to mind was from last transfer. So I was on a bike last transfer and one day we were doing a blitz in another area. Its where all the missionaries take a different street in someone's area and hit it. So we were in a car on the way to our streets with another companionship. And it was raining this day and we had to get up over a steep, muddy, full of ruts road. And so the elder driving tried to make it up and got halfway then started slipping and almost took out a fence Haha so I was like let me try it. So I put it in low and revved it and had pretty much the same result. So we decided to take a huge detour which took a little while. But I still got to drive hahaha and so on the way around I was plowing through puddles and drifting a little and the elder whose car it was who was also my district leader was getting way mad and scared. So when we got to our streets he took the keys and told me he would never let me drive again. I was being safe though just having some fun.”

“My week was good. It was a quick one. Sadly me and Elder Tesch will no longer be together. I am staying in Moorpark for another transfer thank goodness. I will be with Elder Griffin who played basketball against me at South Summit so its gonna be fun to talk with him about the glory days. I feel like me and him are gonna get along super good though. I'm excited! He will be the second bball player I played against out here. The one from Bear River and him. The only other thing I could think of for my birthday would be another pair of jeans.”
“One thing fun and cool we did was one day some service for a sweet cowboy. He also used to rope professional at rodeos and now he teaches people how to rope.  He also has some horses and so we went and helped him fix a couple horse pens then he gave me a free little roping lesson. It was super awesome. He is a nonmember and not super interested but always good to do some service and also get a roping lesson."
