Life as a Zone Leader in Moorpark......

E-mail sent on 7/9/19

"The earthquakes were crazy! We had 2 last week. We only really felt one of them though. We were in the church teaching a lesson and I was dizzy like the whole time and then the building started creaking and we were like swaying. It was an unreal feeling let me tell ya. That's the first earthquake I've felt and it was crazy!

It was a good week. We did get to celebrate with some members and it was so much fun! Honestly there will be no way next years can come close. I love the 4th ofJuly!

A funny story is just that me and elder Goodman have a truck. It's funny cause now we can pick up anything we want to off the side of the road. Let's just say our apartment is better furnished now and even has a treadmill in it. Having the truck is the best!

Today for p-day I'm trying to get as many of my emails sent as early as I can. I am going to cut a couple elders hair (Picked it up and now I give haircuts every few weeks). Then we are going to a trampoline park for a little bit. Then driving up to near the mission office and planning to hang out up there for most of the rest of the day because there Is a baptism for someone elder Goodman taught so we get to go to that tonight. It’s gonna be a busy but fun p-day.

One thing to motivate the zone is we have a miracle report. Every couple of days a companionship sends us a miracle they had and we send it to the whole zone. Keeps everyone excited and seeking them.

Yes, we work so much more with president now. I think it's a little more then other zone leaders too since my companion used to be the assistant so I am way lucky. I'm trying to learn all I can.

Me and elder Goodman are getting along super good. We are good friends and getting lots of work done in Moorpark. Being a zone leader is honestly the best. We are so busy but I really feel like I am helping more people especially the missionaries around me more now. And the people we are teaching are doing good. Luis is getting baptized on the 27th of July!!! We just have to keep him on the right path and are praying he doesn't have any slip ups until then so please keep praying for him too. One new guy we started teaching this week was a self-referral named Jake. He started talking with missionaries online and they got him in contact with us and now we are working with him. He seems super awesome so hopefully all goes good with him

Alright I'll give you a little story. So the other day we were at Jersey Mike's (a sub shop) for dinner. We ordered and everything and then the kid working called me up to the counter. He was a little strange and made some weird comments already so I was like oh great what now. So I walk up and he asks if he can use my phone. So I was like to call who? And he said a lady friend, I think she blocked my number. I'll add extra cheese on your sandwich If you let me. And i was like sorry man i dont have a phone cause i really didn't. So I sit back down and he finishes making my sandwich and you can tell he's frustrated cause he threw the knife into the sink after he finished then he brought my food to me and slammed it on the table. So I opened it up and it was mangeled and super sloppy and for all I know he probably spit in it hahaha so that's one of the stories I though of that made me kinda laugh. Crazy life here in Cali let me tell ya."
