Bella's baptism, January 27th, 2020

January 27th, 2020
My week was super good! We didn’t spend too much time in the truck this week actually. We had 3 exchanges so I went with 3 different missionaires on different days.

We still have 5 more in the next 2 weeks as well. So we are working a ton! We also have lots of people to teach here so we are constantly in lessons which is super awesome.

The baptism got moved to Sunday but it was still so good!!! I'll send pictures from it later today. It was so fun to get to go back to my old area and see some of the members and especially Bella and her family. I connected with them a lot so it was fun to see them all. We already set up for when I come back that we are going to get some dinner or something.

Question: Funnest story of the week.
Answer:  This guy that we are working with named Jerry gave me a good laugh. We actually committed him to baptism in February so we are are excited for that! But the lesson after we committed him we had a member come with us. During the lesson we talked about baptism again and Jerry told the member "I'm so thankful the brothers want to Baptize me" and it made us laugh. But so happy at the same time. He has kind of a born-again Christian attitude so it keeps all the lessons interesting
We also had Bella’s baptism so that was fun.

Bella and her family, Goleta, California

February 3rd. 2020
That is so awesome that you got to talk with brother Bowcutt. He is the biggest reason I graduated seminary hands down. He just had a way of connecting with me and Zach and I really look up to him. That makes me happy that he still remembers me and that I didn’t burn him out. He is such a kind big spirited man

Question: What was the funnest thing you did this week?
Answer: We got to play some good basketball one night. A member had a friend who we set up a pick-up game with so one night we had some members and him there and played some ball. It was hands down the funnest thing from my week!

Question: Do you know where Kobe’s helicopter crashed? If yes, how far away are you from the site?
Answer: Kobe's crash was literally on our mission border. I have been on the road he crashed by when I was in Thousand Oaks. Everyone here talks about it so much.

Question: When is your next Zone Conference? And what will your topics be?
Answer: We have zone conferences not this week but next. We haven't planned for it yet but will later this week. We have MLC tomorrow so we had to plan for that though.

Question: Are you getting any good dinner appointments in your new area?
Answer: We do get some good dinner appointments. The members here are the best and all love us so much. Right when I meet them I can feel the love and trust they have for us.
