Elder Laine Carter in the California Ventura Mission

Luis got baptized!!! It was so amazing. He had to work super hard but he did it. Saturday was so awesome to get to see him take that step. His life has changed so much and he is such an amazing person. This gospel changes people’s lives I have a strong testimony of that. This is gonna be a crazy week. It will be hard to say goodbye to Elder Goodman but he gets to start this new chapter of life so I'm excited for him. My new companion is Elder Schoen and he is one of my favorite missionaries. I also get to stay in Moorpark so I'm stoked about that. I love it here!!!  When was the last time you spoke in church Answer: Kinda taught a lesson in church tomorrow. I had to help with a nine-year old class just talking about missionary work with them  What was the funnest thing you did last week? Answer: The funnest thing was Luis baptism. E-mail sent on 7/9/19 "The earthquakes were crazy! We had 2 last week. We only really felt one of them though. We were in the church teaching a lesson and I was dizzy like the whole time and then the building started creaking and we were like swaying. It was an unreal feeling let me tell ya. That's the first earthquake I've felt and it was crazy!  It was a good week. We did get to celebrate with some members and it was so much fun! Honestly there will be no way next years can come close. I love the 4th ofJuly! A funny story is just that me and elder Goodman have a truck. It's funny cause now we can pick up anything we want to off the side of the road. Let's just say our apartment is better furnished now and even has a treadmill in it. Having the truck is the best!  Today for p-day I'm trying to get as many of my emails sent as early as I can. June 18, 2019 So super awesome they changed the zone leader area to Moorpark so I get to stay here. I am so happy I love it here. My companion is going to be Elder Goodman from Sholow, Arizona. He was an assistant to the President a couple months ago so that's a little intimidating. I'm gonna learn lots hahaha and the best thing of it all is that our car is a 2019 Tacoma truck!!! Oh man its gonna be awesome. June 25, 2019 And Luis is doing good. He missed church yesterday sadly which honestly scared me so bad cause I though we lost him but then we had an awesome conversation with him on the phone last night and he says he's ready to keep going! So we are gonna meet with him again tomorrow and help him. The prayers are helping please keep them coming. Missionary work is going good too. Me and my companion are getting along good.
